Fannie Mae Duncan and the Cotton Club
1940s–1970s
Fannie Mae Duncan operated an intentionally integrated entertainment venue under the slogan 'Everybody Welcome.' The Cotton Club hosted major Black entertainers and served mixed-race patrons.
